Early 1970s Bob Mackie Ray Aghayan one shoulder beaded gown
This is a spectacular early 1970s silk stretch jersey one shoulder gown designed by Bob Mackie and Ray Aghayan. This gown is unlined and has a hand set zipper. The massive beaded bird was beaded by hand and appliquéd to the gown. The fabric is cut on the bias. I believe this could work for a small/medium. My dress form is an extra small for reference. This is a collectors piece and these early collaboration labels label examples are very rare. This gown is in very good condition. All imperfections are photographed. There’s two extremely faint spots on the front of the dress, they are almost invisible. Some light wear to the back side fabric. The hem has been sewn by hand and shows very minimal wear to the underside. Not shown when worn.
Bust: up to 36”
Waist: up to 32”
Hips: 36”
Length: 60”
Hem: 2.5”
